The 2023 YIDU season didn't finish that long ago, but East Riding under 18s Team Manager Sunil Mukerjea is already looking to next year.
He brought together the bulk of last year's squad with a few new faces to start the quest to go one better than this year's superb runners up spots in the YIDU league and six man team championship. A short game session under the watchful eye of Ganton Head Professional Gary Brown, a series of range distance drills with Ollie Adamson and a putting skills challenge took up the morning before the squad ventured out after lunch onto the course proper.
Hessle's Luke Thornton was announced as the 2024 ERUGC Boys Captain. He takes over the role from his namesake Luke Townhill who has led from the front this year.
The team will come back together in the New Year to step up the preparations for the YIDU season.
