Despite only making his East Riding debut in 2023, Tom Brown became the fastest player ever to earn his Union blazer for clocking up 12 apprearances. Son of Ganton's Pro Shop duo Gary and Julie, Tom has been an ever-present in the team for two years, a feat only matched by Jonnie Fisher.
Tom began his YIDU campaign by playing in the' clifftop cliffhangeer' at Filey in May 2023, being one of the four youngsters at the bottom end of the order to bring home their wins to force a miracle tie with Halifax & Huddersfield. He went on to play in every fixture in the title winning campaign, losing only one singles all season and finished second in the colourful Player of the Year standings behind Driffield's Ryan Gray.
Tom also played in all of the 2024 fixtures, finishing 4th in the POTY standings and brought home a vital win as ER jsut failed to beat Teesside in the final match of the year which would have brought another league title. Tom was presented with his East Riding blazer on the occasion of his 12th appearance by ERUGC President Jonty Hall.
Look out for Tom during the 2025 campaign - one of the nicest guys on the team and easy to spot!
